We spent some time with Sofia a couple of weeks ago. A native of Brazil, she’s here on the island gettin’ her international skills polished up, her tennis game fine tuned, her finance career in gear and her Hilton Head Prep diploma in hand! We spent a little time here in the studio and then headed off to the courts of Wexford Plantation for some on location exposure! With Sofia in front of the camera we just had to make sure the camera was focusing and the lights were firing…she did the rest! Stunning! Thanks Sofia!

Here’s a little sneak peak of Allison’s Exclusive Senior Experience yesterday. Did a little studio work then headed out on location on the south end. Had a great time with Allison and her parents, Marianne & Brad. Can you say photogenic?! Mission accomplished!!!

We just had a bride request some reception photography samples from us! Cool! What fun going back and visiting a couple of great receptions! Just thought we’d share……
Cross country never looked so good! Emilee, a competitive cross country runner, took a break from training this summer and visited Hilton Head from North Carolina. For her Senior Experience we kicked around the Inn at Harbour Town, the Harbour Town Yacht Basin then shot over to Tower Beach for some beach landscapes. Great job Emilee and thank you for being….you!

Here’s a few nice photographs of our friend and colleague, Carl Schroeder during a recent Sea Pines Beach Club wedding planned by Ann Czerniak. If you’re looking for an officiant for your ceremony then look no further. Carl has performed hundreds of nuptials on our island and is the ‘go to’ guy for our brides. But be sure to call him soon, as this professional books up quickly! Lookin’ good Carl!
Check out Ohio high school senior MacKensie! She got her Senior Experience on last week! We kicked off her Exclusive session at the Baynard Park Ruins in Sea Pines and then headed over to a private residence on Calibogue Cay Road! Thanks MacKensie, these photographs are awesome! Lifetouch can’t touch this! Get your Senior Experience by 33 Park Photography & Gallery on beautiful Hilton Head Island!
Well here we are at the beginning of the long awaited Fourth of July holiday! Of course, there will be the usual food troughing and adult beverage consumption, but just in case you have a little extra time on your hands and feel like getting creative, I thought I’d share a few pointers on shooting your fav fireworks extravaganza! Nothin’ too techy, just some basics.
Things you’ll need.
1. A camera with manual exposure control. (you can use a fully automatic camera, but you’ll get shots your FB fans will cringe at!)
2. Some basic knowledge of said camera.
3. A sturdy tripod or immoveable object…oh…and a cable release if you have one…you’ll be glad you did!
4. Gas (for the car) and cash (for you).
5. Respect for explosives! Please remember this one!
…keep scrolling….
How do you do it?
1. Put the camera on the tripod, turn the camera on and format your memory card.
2. Select M for manual, set your camera to f/2.8 (or the smallest number you have), ISO 800-1600 and manual focus if you have it, assuming you’re shooting full view not telephoto.
3. Now the only thing you’ll need to adjust is your shutter speed. The shots you see here were captured with speeds between 1/15 to 3 seconds. Play with this a bit early on in the fireworks display and you’ll be good to go when the good ones show up.
4. Timing is everything here, so anticipate your shots and be on the shutter release like a lottery winner on a ticket!
Hope this helps! Give it a try and let us know how it goes! Happy Independence Day y’all!
