Sofia’s Senior Experience by 33 Park Photography

We spent some time with Sofia a couple of weeks ago. A native of Brazil, she’s here on the island gettin’ her international skills polished up, her tennis game fine tuned,  her finance career in gear and her Hilton Head Prep diploma in hand! We spent a little time here in the studio and then headed off to the courts of Wexford Plantation for some on location exposure! With Sofia in front of the camera we just had to make sure the camera was focusing and the lights were firing…she did the rest! Stunning! Thanks Sofia!

Emilee’s Senior Experience by 33 Park Photography

Cross country never looked so good! Emilee, a competitive cross country runner, took a break from training this summer and visited Hilton Head from North Carolina. For her Senior Experience we kicked around the Inn at Harbour Town, the Harbour Town Yacht Basin then shot over to Tower Beach for some beach landscapes. Great job Emilee and thank you for being….you!

A Lowcountry Portrait Session by 33 Park Photography

Hey, we love the beach as much as the next guy, but it’s nice to wander off the beaten path from time to time too. Consider a portrait session inland as well. :-)

Elliot’s Senior Experience by 33 Park Photography

Elliot visited the island last month from the Buckeye state. Seems that someone up in Ohio is on to our style of photography! And we’re glad they are! These photographs capture Elliot as both the beauty queen she is and the sporto she morphs in to. Either way this is one great kid from a great family. Mom, Dad and brother Dimitri offered an assist on our shoot down at Tower Beach. Get your Senior Experience on. Call us at 843.682.2212 to schedule you Exclusive Senior Experience session!

Dad’s 70th Birthday Weekend

It’s a wrap! All went wall as we descended on Lake County Ohio from around the country to celebrate my dad’s 70th birthday. Got to see a lot of folks who I’ve known forever, but have missed for a few years since the migration. Thanks Dad, for being the leader, provider, rock, scapegoat and steady force. It means more than you’ll ever no. Especially from this portal. We took in a little fun and frivolity with the Gyro’s at Hellreigels, swung at KCC, watched out Tribe leg it out and wrapped at Marilyn and Bob’s. Thank you everyone one for making this celebration unique.

The Rauhe Family

Meet our friends, the Rauhe’s. Dawn, Scott and Aidan visited our awesome island last week and were wise to invest in a family portrait session by 33 Park Photography & Gallery. You see, Aidan was is a modeling mood as you can see and you just never know when you’ll get that out of a little guy. I was hot, muggy, windy and buggy and this little Rauhe toughed it out like a kid twice his age. Thanks Dawn and Scott for trusting us to capture this years visit to HHI! Tell all of our Ohio friends we say hi!

Third Times a Charm

The Campolmi Family returned to HHI this summer determined to capture the spirit of Abbey. You see, this is their third annual session. In past years, Abbey expressed herself differently, as our little ones tend to do. But boy did she show up this year! It’s fun to see the growth in kids! And families for that matter. Abbey’s mom, Elizabeth, found a couple of awesome matching oufits for the girls to wear. Even got grandma (aka Cheryl) in front of the camera this year! (promised to keep that private!) Grandpa (aka Richard) stayed with me behind the camera as is his custom. Just plain good photographs of their most precious gifts! Thank you for your trust.

Brittany’s Senior Experience – Bluffton High School

Check out Brittany! She was just tagging along with Ashley last week so we gave her her own Senior Experience! She tells us she has no modeling aspirations…maybe she should reconsider. Nice.

Swiss Family Ruoss

That’s the moniker I gave this wonderful family who visited us from Switzerland last year! They were kind enough to send me pics of their family Wall Portraits installed in their home. They look awesome! These guys were funny! It was their first trip here to Hilton Head. Thinking it was a small island (well…relatively!) they rented a place in Sea Pines and did not rent a car. As it turns out, where they live in Switzerland is a small town and they do a lot of walking. Good thing they were used to that as Margaret did her grocery shopping by bicycle from the south end with kids in tow in one of those bike trailer things! Holy moly! We did give them a little break and carted them to their photo shoot at Tower Beach. It’s the least we could do. They liked it here so much they put an offer in on a home before they left. It didn’t work out, but it sure is a testament to this great place. Sometimes we forget just how spoiled we are! And another funny thing…their 4 year old, Hudson was a piece of work. I actually texted Suzanne when leaving the shoot that ‘I quit!” That little guy wanted nothing to do with me and my camera! Persistence paid off in the end though! Great photographs of a truly wonderful family! Thanks guys!

Our Thomas

Sometimes, against the urging of our kids, I bring a camera along with us on ‘family days’. Now, I try and not do this, but it’s kind of a habit of mine. ‘Not another picture!’ is a common retort from our little bundles of joy. And I get it. How can I enjoy our days together if I’m tethered to and behind a camera all day. Well, here’s why I do it. This is our youngest son, Thomas. His typical smile for me is more of a growl or a Sponge Bob face neither of which are what I’m looking to remember him for. This photograph, however, is probably the best I have ever gotten of him and shows our true Thomas. This is why I bring along my time machine. And we get to see this smile every day hanging in our home. A true blessing. Love you Thomas!

Kids Grow Up Fast!

Okay, so we know the deal! Kids grow up too fast! Well, we’ve got a time machine over here and it’s called a camera. And you know what else. Kids are great models when you get them involved in their own photo shoot. Courtney wanted to be photographed at Honey Horn on Hilton Head. Of course we said okay, but we turned it up a notch. We took her favorite bed (aka the bunny bed) with us! This put her at ease and we were lucky to capture the real Courtney, and that’s according to her mother not us. Thanks Courtney! It’s going to be fun to watch you grow up!

The Walkers

This is definitely outside the box when it comes to Family Portraiture, but it sure goes to show what is possible with a little planning. Of course, it helps to have a little luck along the way too! This photograph was taken in the dark at Tower Beach on Hilton Head’s south end mid summer. Great sunset and a family who really appreciates photography as art! This shot is decorating their home in Cleveland, Ohio.

Sweet

That’s exactly how this shoot went last month, Sweet! It was rather chilly at the beach, but this PA family toughed it out and got the job done. A portrait for above the mantle will be warming their home for years to come up in the great white north!
